looking at a 25/06 build off a 700 bdl action. academy has 700 adls for $380. may just go that route, part the gun out and get a bdl floorplate kit.

Bottom metal is way to expensive purchased seperatly. Buy a complete rifle and strip it to the action. You will get a little bit back from selling the factory stock and barrel .

used bottom metal sells for $50 - 65

pawn shops or GA , GB are your best bet for a complete rifle to be used as a donor

I have not had any luck with this. Figure selling this as a bonus, do not figure it into your budget.

That would be the smart move. When I say a little, I'm talking 30 - 50 dollars each.

yep, figure selling a used sporter barrel for $25 , a Sendero or stainless fluted barrel will sell for $150

wood take off stocks usually sell for $40 - 70 depending on condition, an HS stock will fetch $225 used
