Looking at picking up a pre 64 model 70. The serial number leads me to believe it was built in 1959. However a few thing are throwing me off. The action is matte black and the barrel is blued. The bolt is chrome. The bolt knob. Seems to have been customized... The wood is awesome, but I can't figure out the details on this rifle! Please help!

Stock and bolt are custom. Sometimes the bolt would hit a low mounted scope, so people had them turned down. Looks great but not from the factory that way. What caliber?Comment

Fair price is what you feel comfortable paying....it is a custom rifle ,built on a pre 64 winchester action.....and should be valued that way...Comment

270 is a good round, problem is I don't have any 270 ammo! Lol that means I will have to go out with all the other crazy people looking for ammo .... LolComment
