Steps and materials needed for bluing a barrel?

Can I get some advice on how to re-blue a barrel on an old single shot 22. I would like to know the proper steps in which to do so. Thanks a bunch!

they have blueing kits at academy, gander, some walmarts. they should have instructions with them as well as all the materials needed i think they are around $14
