I am just writing to let you know that your practice of jacking prices up way beyond even panic market value is shameful. I was particularly disgusted by your email advertising magazines at greatly increased prices immediately following President Obama's address on gun control on January 16th.

I suppose that demand has skyrocketed such that you are still selling magazines, ammunition, and firearms at the ridiculous prices you list, and perhaps you don't need my business right now. But know this: I and many others will never do business with you again, and Cheaper Than Dirt's reputation among the shooting community has been reduced to dirt because of the shameless price inflation following the Sandy Hook shooting.

Enjoy the high profit margin while it lasts, because thousands of us won't be there to buy from you when demand settles back down. Consider me one of many many permanently lost customers.

Ya I'm sure a bunch of us got that email too, as did I... Glad I picked one up when it was just under $100!

A friend of mine and I have always referred to them as "Dumber than Dirt" because they're no more knowledgeable about their products than the average fool off the street.

good for you. would be nice to see a business have to shut their doors due to this type of behavior. I realize its a free market blah blah blah but some of the customer service practices I have seen throughout this has really been eye opening.

I just Hope everyone sticks to their guns on abandoning CPD regardless of any great sales they may have in the future to reclaim business. for example I wonder how many folks would stay away if they began selling pmags for 10 a piece or selling ars for less that normal rates. I am sure that is what bailed then out of last boycott
