    Lol I've used the clicky pen spring as a temporary before while I was waiting on the lighter spring to arrive by snail mail...

    I wouldn't recommend long term use with either of the things you did... But as a temporary step to figure out just what needs to be adjusted they can be very handy, before you start taking off metal on the wrong part.
