    AR handguard length ?s

Ok guys I'm ready to start shoping for handguards and such for the 6920. When I look at pics on the net I'm really liking the long 13-15 inch handguards on the carbines. Are there any negatives other than weight to have a 15 inch handguard? If anybody has pics of 15 inch handguards on carbines could you please post them up? So far I really like the looks of MI SS gen 2, Troy alpha, and the Samsom Evo. Of the three mentioned which one would have the best type mounting system etc? I'm mainly interested in the modular type systems that I can add rails to when needed. Any and all info would be very much appreciated! Thanks

I'm with you on the long hand guards on carbines, I think they look sexy.

Ya I'm saving up for a low pro gas block and a yhm 13" hand guard to replace my yhm carbine length hand guard. I like em too!

I was in the same boat for a while. I also like the longer rails.

          (from left to right)
Larue 12 inch on a 16 inch barrel

          Seekins 13inch on 16inch barrel

Daimondhead 13.5inch on 16 inch barrel

          The fourth is a
Lancer carbon fiber 15in on 18inch barrel

I have a 16" barrel on mine and plan on putting a 15" guard on it.

What a nice fleet of rifles! Thanks to all of you guys for responding. I've done some more looking and I'm about 99% sure I'll go with the MI gen 2 ss in the 15 inch length. Now all I have to do is find one I ordered a Vltor low profile gas block tonight from bravo. Do you guys see any reason why this gas block would not work/fit? Thanks

My original A2 style. I thought about replacing it instead but its not as secure and it cost more money to do it that way.
