    New Rifle

I will be buying a new rifle this season. I have had my heart set on a Browning A bolt 270 Stainless with Silver Zeiss scope for probably 10 years. I know there are new things out there so convince me to change my mind.

I have been shooting a Remington 700 BDL 7 mm mag for over 15 years and it has been a great gun.

What else should I consider? I definitely want a stainless gun with a synthetic stock.

    Help me spend some money.

One more thing caliber is not an option. It will be a 270 no questions.

I love my Browning Abolt 270. It is always my go to gun when times get tough. Mine shoots less than an inch at 100 yards with cheap 130 grain Remington core locs. Actually it shoots most 130 gr. Bullets great. I have also shot the hsm ammo with Berger vld, and the Winchester supreme XP3 and have had great results. I would suggest a 4.5 x14 power scope because you can really stretch it out. The only downside is my abolt 270 is so light it kicks worse than my Remington BDL 7mm rem mag.

I haven't shot a single 270 that kicks less than a 7 mag... that's why I don't own one. Much better ballistic cartridges out there that also have less recoil

just my opinion, if you have wanted one that bad, just buy it. i too have looked for a gun that i have always wanted, and ended up going with something different because it was cheaper etc. i wasnt happy. buy what you want. youll be pleased. sure there may be better calibers, or other rifles, but its not what you want.... i hope you get one!!

I bought my son (bnutzkillin ) one for highschool graduation 12 yrs ago and it is still his number one. For only doing a trigger job it is as accurate a factory gun as I have seen.

                You won't be disappointed.

I've had my eye on the Sako A7 and Tikka T3 Light for some time now. I toyed with the idea of a Browning X-Bolt but the Tikka and Sako stock fit me better....you might look at all 3 of those rifles I mentioned. Personally I like the looks of the X-Bolt over the A-Bolt but thats just personal preference.

Great caliber choice BTW, I own 2 of them
