      ABCs of reloading

elecetronic form or hardback. wealth of knowledge on the whys and what fors. cheap.

How tos are covered in the instructions with the dies and press as well as in the reloading manuals you buy for bullets. you can get the basics on how to do it through videos if you like as well.

Get a single stage to start off with because you will continue to use it after youve gotten used to it. the Dillon 550B press is manual index so you have to advance the shell plate yourself, which i dont like. My LnL AP is just fine and can have all the accessories that the 550b has for less money.

there is a WEALTH of knowledge at http://www.thehighroad.org/
      as well as http://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve
hodgdon wedsite http://data.hodgdon.com/main_menu.asp (powder is less sensitive to climate change compared to others)

Ok so I remembered about a year ago my mom called me and said, come and see if you want any of this stuff before I throw it away. It was my step dads so I went over and looked. It had some reloading equipment in it so I said yes I will take it. Well I completely forgot about it, until today. So what do I have here? Junk? Too rusted? Click image for larger version

Ive got the lnl ap and really like it after their mod to brass release and plate indexing. Te dies are sweet too with the speed spindle adjustment in decapping. Theyre lifetime like rcbs and the others, ecept lee, so if you break them they replace them.

Do you think these old primers are still good?

If they were stored properly they'd be good. But not worth the risk for me. I'd toss em.

Ok thanks. I've watched some videos on MEC and they all have resizer, this one does't, just a hole for the old primer to fall out of. Do I need one?

I'm just starting to reload shotshell. I have 3 presses identical to those you have and two resizers and a box full of stuff. I know almost nothing about shotshell reloading. I haven't even set up my presses yet.

When i find out I'll definitely let you know.
