Dad lookin ' for some help

Anybody familiar with this? My dad asked if I could help him find some ammo. He isn't interested in ARs but wants to be aw to defend himself...The classification on the box is "rifled slug" I believe- it says "slug" on the box.

Sounds like your talking about shotgun slugs.If so I wouldn't use them in my house.A wall wouldn't stop them and could hurt someone you didn't intend to.

Yep my head is spinning. I wonder if he is assuming the mean looking tactical shotgun is an ar because is has a pistol grip, adjustable stock, and a bullet button?

If he's looking for a self defense firearm. I wouldn't suggest a slug gun. It may hit an un intended target(going through walls). I like buckshot in a short barrel pump or double barrel.
