need recommendation on ext mag release for an AR - RB Precision BAD cust service

4 Weeks ago I finally reached someone at RB Precision and gave them my cc info for an ext mag release for my ar. to date no receipt of my order. no responses to email and voice mail full.

so while I continue emailing on RB on a daily basis, can any of you recommend a good extended mag release? thanks

Magpull makes the BAD release. Heard mixed reviews on it.

My bad on the BAD. It's for the bolt release. I knew it released something.

That is good to know and is probably why I have not been able to find much info on available alternatives. Can you shed some light on why noone really uses them?

I will be honest, I have never shot an AR. All I could liken the extended mag release to was to the 1911 45 pistols I have owned. The extened mag release was great on those so I figured it would be the same with the ARs. If there isnt an advantage at all to them then I can forego that add on.

With that said, is there some mag release pads nicer than others? Not interested in an ambi.

            Thanks guys

Wilson combat makes a enlarged magazine release ...

People that do run them, do so because they are usually in very cold climates and have heavy gloves, the down side to running a oversized mag release is it makes it alot easier to bump by accident and drop your mag unintentionally..

IN a high stress situation dropping a loaded mag by accident could cost you your life.
