Full Time State Police @ School

Just found out from a board member that my school district is having 2 full time state policeman (retired) at our middle and high school. For once I agree with my school board as money well spent. Think more school districts should follow

I don't agree but at least they are using retired LEO's.

Better hire Nascar drivers to ride along with every teen driver because 10,000 times more kids die in wrecks than in shootings.

Birdville appears to be headed towards full time SRO on every campus and Admin allowed or premised to carry (CHL) on every campus. This is one of the big districts in the mid-cities.

I think it's a great idea. All officers' are prior swat. Makes me feel more secure for my kids knowing that there are armed officers at the school. I'm in a small school district. About 400 kids 9-12 grade.

Just keep an eye on them brother. They are probably covering up their true intentions. Hopefully some of the experts will chime in so we can get to the bottom of this.

True intentions? School board? Officers? I don't understand. It is a very small town. I either play ball or went to school with everyone from the School board to the janitor. Everyone knows everyone which is both good and bad.

Ok thanks, i'm a little slow today. Spent 13 hrs at the hospital visiting the wife. Having a liquid dinner while watching the hockey game.

Sorry about that Hagen. Didn't mean to hijack your thread. I think the retired officers plan is a great idea.

                        Good
And I don't mind Admins and/or teachers armed if they have good training and required quals.
You just don't hear of many shootings in gun zones. Mostly in gun free ones...
