    when to buy an AR15?

    .......besides three months ago....

Been looking all over and can't find them (reasonably priced). Figured I would wait it out until prices fall back. Anyone have an opinion? Buddy of mine says get one now or you won't be able to....I personally feel this isn't going anywhere and it's just hype right now that will eventually calm down. Thought about buying used but I can't see paying 1200 bucks for a baseline model.

Opinion? Wait it out or try to get one now. Mostly I'd be using it for Hog hunting.

Just get to academy at 2 in the morning and wait for them to open. Market should balance out by summer as vacation season hits.

        I still love my bow!

I am the camp where I feel it's not a necessity to have one right now. But I'd like something for rapid fire for piggies. although I did kill 4 hogs in 5 shots in less than 10 seconds with my 270 back in October. It did the job, but still I'd like something like an AR

Turned down a $729 Bushmaster Carbon this morning at my Academy. Didn't wait in line, wasn't on a list, just happened to be there at the right time. There were 5 people on a waiting list but only one of them was there. I just didn't like the gun. They had 3 of them. If you're patient and LOOK, you'll find one.

I'd wait, I personally don't think they will be outlawed. Not to mention, one should never buy on the high. Wait until the fools that paid the high markups need money then swoop in and pick it up for much less.

whenever you want and can afford one

in terms of market timing . . . . probably once everyone sees that Obama isn't sending the national guard to take everyones away from the them and the bottom falls out.

Indoor gun range here in Abilene is getting them pretty regularly. Their prices are starting to come down some. Saw on their facebook page today for a rock river arms ar for $1399. Don't know where your located but if your really wanting one it may be worth your drive here.

This is what I'm feeling. I have 1500 in the bank, but I want my money to go for all I can get. Which means scope, clips, additions. I don't want to start at 1200 to 1500. Just not going to do it if I don't have to. thanks for the reassurance. I may just wait it out. Like I said, it's not something I have to have right now.....but I also don't want to get in a situation where i can't get one. I'm basically asking if you guys are seeing where they are starting to come down in price. I've been to Academy, Cabelas and Bass pro and they don't have any right now.

Once everyone figures out that an "Assault Weapons Ban" will not pass the House then the prices will stabilize

The prices being asked for bottom market AR's are ridiculous. There is a lot of it being done on here.

Another forum I frequent that is made up of mil and LEO are still selling Tier 1 ones at pre craze prices.

Don't panic buy. The market will stabilize. AR-15's won't be banned.
