CHL in 37 days

That's right, I received my CHL in 37 days from the time I dropped the paper work in the mail until the license was in my mailbox.

Would this be considered fast or just above average?

My wife, father-in-law, brother-in-law, 3 friends and I all completed the course 2 days ago on Saturday 2/9/13. The first available appointment for our fingerprints is 2/27/13! I'm guessing ours will take longer than average based on that.

Sounds like quite an improvement in turn-around time. Many many moons ago when I received my first license it took about 3-4 months.

Time starts when you mail application

It actually starts when they get your info in the computer, then they have 60 days to issue or deny. At least that is the way I understood it.

If I get mine in 37days I will be pleasantly surprised

I'm at 34 days right now and all has cleared just checking the mail box daily, so I'll let you know.

32 days. That was also right about 2 years ago. I took my class the weekend after paper fingerprints were no longer accepted.

I got mine in 2005 and I think it took 3-4 months for me too.
