    Ruger American Review

I bought a new Ruger American rifle in .270 two weeks ago and topped it with a 4x12-40 Nikon prostaff bdc reticle scope. I picked up some win power point 130 gain rounds just to sight it in. The rifle has a bedded action, full floating barrel and an accu-trigger that adjust from 3-5 pounds. I dropped the trigger down two turns (not sure what the poundage is) on the out of the box cleaning. Took it too the range Saturday to dial it in and I must say that it shoots great. With some the cheaper ammo I was shooting right around moa to sub moa groups at 100 yards. The trigger is very smooth and clean. The only down fall to the rifle is its a little light so you do feel a little more recoil but it aint bad. I would highly recommend this rifle to any one wanting to get a great shooting rifle for a great price.

i have one in 308 and agree with everything you said here!

I love how light this the gun is!

Mine shoots pretty similar with most of the loads ive shot out of it. Ive got some hand loads that will shoot .75"... If you let the barrel cool off between each shot!

I think its a great gun for the price and performs as good or better then some rifles that cost 100-200 more. And if it gets beat up when out hunting I dont care. Im sure not going to beat on my 70 like I will this gun.
