    Ammo Guru's - Question

I have some ammo that has "W C C 8 8" stamped on the brass around the bottom of the case.

What caliber is this ammo? A tad thinner than .38 special and a tad taller.

    Thanks

can't really say what caliber it is, but from what little research it's from Western Cartridge Co.

That is all I could find out with my search also. Ammo came from a box my great grandfather had at his place when he passed.

      Thanks

Below is a photo or two of the ammo. I put a .38 special rat shot in for reference.

30 carbine or 32 long. I will do some leg work now and see if I can match it up.

                  Thanks

Sure, now you need to get a carbine to shoot it in

I'm still trying to figure out why he had this much ammunition for a firearm that my Dad says he cant remeber him ever owning .30 carbine......

                          Anyway,

Thanks for each of your help.

too long for a 32 long, plus that was a rimmed cartridge
