Ammo question?

My 300 RUM likes the 210's

My 7mm hates the 180's but that's mainly because my barrel twist is too slow for 180g bullets.

I have a partial box of 7mm in the classifieds.

I've shot them out of our 6 mm, 270 WSM, 300 WSM and 300 RUM. Each gun shot the loads fairly well. 300 RUM liked the 185's particularly well. Only complaint is that the bullet doesn't sit very tight in the case, as its very easy to bump the bullet into the case. Other than that they work great.

If I don't have time to load for my 300 wby mag I use the HSM's and they shoot great. When i do load, I load the same berger bullets that are in the HSM's

I tried a box of them just for fun in 6.5x284. Didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. fired 4 into a cloverleafed hole at 100yds and shot 3 more at 500 and they went under 3". Not saying I could do that everytime but I was really impressed with how they shot for a factory load.

Accuracy is great, these are the loads that best or the west use and send with a custom ordered gun. As far as velocity, I am sure they are plenty hot but I have not chronoed them. They are more of a custom ammo than your normal Rem,Win. and other shelf ammo.

My 300 wby mag shoots well at 700 yards with them.

Accuracy is good. Velocity on the 115 grain HSM Bergers runs about 150 fps slower than 115 grain ballistic tip Weatherby factory ammo.
