    Steel case ammo

Whats wrong with it? I see posts where folks are lookin for ammo, but "no steel case". Worried about rust? Performance?

I don't think it's preferred as a reloading medium. And/or it's harder on semi auto actions?

I read this whole article the other day when the link was posted. Good stuff.

I don't like it cause I can't reload it. And you can reload it I've heard, but I don't want to mess up my dies.

I dunno, I bought a crap load of steel 380 and none of it would shoot out of my p238. I know it wasn't my gun because I tried it out of chad0723, mykidsdad, and my wife's gun.

I have a ton of the Monarch steel 9mm and it functions great. Very accurate out of all 3 of my pistols. It's Berdan primed( or most of it is) and can't be reloaded. Monarch is pretty dirty but I clean my guns regularly so it's not a big issue to me.

Honestly you can reload some steel case. But not preferred is about the best answer you could use for it.
And as far as wearing out a weapon. I think it will outlast your and my lifetime using steel case.

Something I learned not to do with empty steel....don't load it in a mag to simulate a misfire for a new shooter. It will feed and lock up tighter than dicks hatband :0

Never understood why people don't like to shoot steel ammo. Ran a crap load of it through my AR-15 and it never hiccuped. I guess it is like the barrel break in myth.
