    Sonic cleaners?????

Been hearing a lot about sonic cleaners and how great they are. I'm kinda curious about them.

I've been using my Lymann tumbler to polish my brass, but if a sonic cleaner works better and faster that'd be great. Also, what about cleaning metal frame pistols like a 1911? could you disassemble it and put it in there or is this not a good idea?

What are some good brands to look into? Is there some kind of solution (cleaning media) you put in there or is it just water or what?

Pretty much any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks

What about the wife's jewelry? Might make it easier if I can pitch that angle to her

Where I use to work we had one for cleaning seal parts and I think it was amonia and water but you could put a diamond ring in it and those diamonds would shine like brand new after it was cleaned and it did not take very long either

I bought the Hornady Lock and Load 2 from Midway. I use it to clean the BCG on my ARs, it does a great job.

I have heard that you better make sure to oil every metal part down after putting your gun in the cleaner, otherwise it'll rust real fast.

I use a cheap one from harbor freight. I think lyman sells the same one but for alot more money. I just use it to clean gun parts. There are 2 sizes get the larger one.

Bought the big Harbor Freight model last night. Had a 20% off coupon too! Can't beat that!

I'll try it out tonight and see how she does.
