    Whats a reasonable price

to pay for 5.56 per round? I have some, and I would like to get some more but I will wait till the stupidity slows down. But I would like to know if I run up on a good/decent deal. What was a good price before the rush? And now? Per round.

Before the idiocy .35/per round for M193, .38/per round for M855.

Figure at least double that right now.

I bought a case of PMC Bronze 55gr FMJ last year for $375. Shoulda got 2. I've seen .75-$1 a round lately. If you run across a case for $500, might want to think hard about it.

Was paying .30/rd for PMC or American eagle before it hit the fan

            Yep.

Before this fecal matter hit the fan the most I'd pay was about .37-.38/round but even then I'd hold out for low .30s.

Nowadays it's at least double that. For todays prices .60 is doing pretty good.

That's kinda what I was wanting to know. It's also about what I thought. I've seen people pay over $1 a round. Not I. Like I said its not that important that I round some up now, but I wanted realistic expectations of prices because I admittedly don't know. What is m193? The m855 is the penetrator right?

Wait for it to go down! It will... Wish I would of picked up some when I looked and saw it .30'ish per round.

Someone's got it on here for FMJ's at $1.20 per round.... GTFO with that crazyness!

M193 is ball ammo 55 gr fmj

M855 Is 62 grain penetrator. Also known as SS109 features a 62 grain full metal jacket around a lead core with a steel penetrator tip.

Both right now are worth their weight in gold.

I pay around 0.65/round for hornady 55gr SP, but I use these for hunting.
