      That's funny!

I think that a lot of the buying right now is from people who have been on the fence and all of a sudden noticied that there may no longer be a fence to sit on. The thing that concerns me is that the 1000's of new AR owners are going to want ammo for their guns. That is going to drive the price up on plinking ammo.

I work @ bpro part-time & we cant keep 9mm, 223, or 7.62x39 on the shelf..& ar clips are all but extinct..ammo shelf looks like a ghost town...hope it calms down after a bit...

Most Academy's have some ammo in stock, their putting the "in demand" calibers at the front so you dont have to walk all the way to the back.. Ended up stopping at 2 today and grabbed 6 boxes of ammo..

Yep. Son is coming home this weekend and wants to do some shooting. So on the way home we stopped at 4 Academys right off the highway. Got the limit on .45's and .40's at everyone. And didn't get gouged.

Make no mistake. Not all people buying up ammo are hoarders. There is a lot of flippers trying to capitalize on the hysteria. That's one of the reasons Academy (and most others) started limiting guns and ammo purchases. The flippers were showing up at 4:00 a.m.; claiming first on all AR's and flipping them for a few hundred over retail. Same with 223 ammo and others.

As for ammo, since the rationing limits have been established..I haven't had much problem getting a few boxes of popular calibers at my local Academy showing up on shipment days...and not crack of dawn, just 8:30 a.m. or so. Now, being in H-town, there are a few more Academys and the like in the area, so it may be a tad easier for me.
