    Best coating on guns?

Me and the boys started hunting the saltwater marsh this season and it is hard on the guns. Wondering what would be the best route to have three guns coated to make them able to better withstand the saltwater enviorment. I have 3 Beretta autoloaders I want to make as durable as possible.

Any suggestions and or anyone on do this type of gunwork?

Take a cheaper gun into the marsh lol

Getting it dipped in camo will help, my last camo stoeger held up pretty good through 3 seasons on the coast before I sold it as got my benelli but if you want something different I think dura coat might work too. PM ol thumper and ask his advice he custom dips em.

Either custom dip or Cerakote. Nothing you can really do on the interior that I know of.

Cerakote is a lot tougher than Duracoat. Cerakote is great on Metal.

I knew there was another coating but I couldn't remember the name of it.

I have been cerakoting my guns myself for awhile now. It's truly the only valid option out there.

I just had my Ar coated in KG gunkote which is a bake on product. From what I was told by my gunsmith that also uses Cerakote was that is you have a tight fitting gun like a 1911 or some AR's you may have issues fitting it back together. Cerakote is a cermaic coating suppose to be the best but I didnt want to risk it. So I went with the KG gunkote. But for a shotgun I would prob go cerakote.

Look up Black-T or ion bond.

Negative, unless the painter is a REALLY good artist. You could conceivably get woodlands camo and you can get digital in Cerakote but the cost is $$$$

This. There's a reason the TBH STI pistols are being done in black nitride. Tough as nails, self lubricating, doesn't wear or flake.

This is a video showing frog lube and mil-com comparison. Pretty much seems like a real world test comparison.
