It's a sweet round. My buddy has a DDM4 in .300 Blackout, it's deadly on deer and pigs. Even though its pushing a 120 grain .30 caliber bullet, it kicks like a .223. I think the velocity is somewhere in the 2200-2400 fps range but don't quote me on that. It's a cool caliber and its here to stay. You can go subsonic too, which is what it was designed for.

300 Blackout uses the same bolt and magazine as 223, just a different barrel. Here is my 300 BO in AR platform with AAC suppressor.

I just started reloading some last weekend. Have a guy asking me for a couple thousand rounds. If you ever need a lead cast for subsonic rounds let me know. 230Gr
