Is it a factory gun or custom? I wonder if that's the same round they built the 300 win, 7mm, and 257 Roy off of? I know the 404 jefferys is what they build the 300 RUM off of.

Used to have a 458 Lott with Leupold M8 3x. It was more of a novelty than anything. The 500's would boom, but the Barnes 350 gr TSX @ 2700fps would slap you back into last week. I was always nervous loading the win mag and Lott cases with compressed charges, but an experienced big bore loader told me that the straight wall case and slow burning powder I was using were a good combo in that the case itself could not hold enough powder to cause an over pressure. I dunno, wasn't ever real aggressive with my loads.

Nice group! I gotta ask a stupid question, have you evef shot a deer with it? If I had a big bore like that I would have to give it a try just to see what it would do. Seen several shot with a 45/70 but the lott is moving a little faster I think.

Ya i have its just a clean hole through and through the bullet is designed for thick skinned heavy boned game bullet wont expand on deer much
