To preface this meeting a little bit.. My wife is a school administrator and all employees within the district were offered a free CHL class along with some type of personal defense course geared towards all the ladies. My wife told me of this and that she was interested in taking the course, however she did not want to shoot any of my current pistols as she felt they were all too big/bulky (1911's) for her to use regularly. Thus starting our hunt for a pistol that she felt comfortable with, I did quite a bit of research in advance of a local gun show coming to town to make sure she was able to handle as many guns as possible. While at the gun show, she handled all of the pistols I had suggested from my research, however as soon as we got the the Sig P238/P938 guns it was all over with but the crying, she said this was her gun. I made the decision to do some research on prices versus buying at the show, not a good idea as I was unable to find the P938 that she was wanting anywhere local.
This led to my Thread here on TBH asking if anyone had either of the two versions on this gun that they were willing/looking to get rid of, didn't even get one post on that thread but I did receive a PM from a TBH'er that told me his supplier had 12 of them. The fallback now was that this gentleman was N. of Dallas, I then received another PM stating he would be heading close to where I was and we could meet up. Instead of meeting up, he drove out of his way to bring the gun to my office, got the paperwork handled in his truck and on with our day...
I want to publicly thank Jason (cooker2) for making this possible as my wife takes her CHL/defense class in just a couple short weeks and him going out of his way will allow her time at the range with her new gun before taking her class...
