For about a $1,000 (or more) gun. I would call it a reasonable sale to the person receiving it.

Actually I think that it is way overpriced by about twice. Give me his phone number and let me call him direct and chew the guy out for trying to gouge someone.

I was on scene when we arrested a 20 year old aggravated robbery suspect last week and his weapon of choice was the same Combat Commander. I know it can't be stolen.

He fired it once with officers outside of his apartment but it stovepiped and he couldn't clear it and surrendered. It probably saved his life.

I am worried about this one being stolen. $400 seems awfully cheap. Is there a way to check it?

Any police officer can but most will want to have their hand on the item before it is run. Even then it does not prove that it is not stolen as many people don't have their serial numbers when the police make a stolen report and may find it later.

There is at least one website that claims to be able to run a free stolen check like hotgunz. I am not sure how good that works but might be worth a try, assuming you can get the number before the sale.
