    Just for fun

I would like to hear some responses everyone uses or has used when asked, why do you need a 30 rd magazine.

    I have said.
The last time I looked it was called the Bill of Rights not the
    Bill of Needs.

    Juat for fun

Because this is America, and no one should tell me what I need or ask why I need what I have.

Because I believe in Liberty, and the constitution of the United States of America....which I recently learned (thank you..... Green Screen) is a actually a Constitutional Republic.

I am responsible, I am reasonable, I am a believer in accountability, and I believe in enforcing the right to make my own personal decisions.

Just to play devils advocate...the 2nd amendment doesn't guarantee the right to bear magazines. It guarantees the right for arms. The bill of rights says nothing about magazines.

Now believe me, it ****** me off that anyone would want to restrict how many billets I'm allowed to have in a gun, so don't think I'm siding with the crazy left. Just playing a little devils advocate and explaining where some people are coming from when they propose laws

I use them so I don't have to reload when shooting herds of pigs. So I don't have to reload when defending my home. So I don't have to reload when shooting at the range.

As for people who say why would you ever NEED more than 10 rounds for defense because 10 rounds is more than dead...they clearly have never been in a firefight, and don't realize that quite a few of those shots could be misses/non vital or stopping hits. If I've got time to line up on my target, sight in, and use that slow steady target squeeze...sure I could take someone down with one round. But under stress, in a panic, I may hit the guy in the legs, arms, stomach, or just plain miss, and I'll need more to take him down.

The last anti-gun nut that asked me that question I told the following. “For the same reasons your father should have used protection to keep bad things from happening". It was not a friendly conversation to start with and I'll not go into any details. Let’s just say we didn't like each other very much!

How about this: Because the 2nd amendment wasn't put in place to protect my right to hunt, it was put in place to protect me from the very government that wants me to change mags more often.

well we have to always use a comparison when explaining our rationing to the left because they dont understand that its a part of our lives. For example there would be huge outcry if the gov says ok well you cant talk bad about the president on the tv and make it illeagal if they did that would you still have "free speech" it defeats the purpose of the bill of rights.
I have emptied a 30rd mag and a half into a group of hogs before. and if someone is breaking into my home i dont want to have to reload as fast. i dont know how 10rds makes owning a fiirearm less of a responsibility.

Why do I need high capacity mags....

My job requires me to protect my clients and myself in times of need and its a tactical advantage against bad people wanting to do bad things...

I don't, I actually need a 42 mag in case I have to fight in your place since you sit on the bench of the sheeple.

Just don't like reloading, and it's fun to rapid fire 30 rounds.

Because if somebody breaks into my home with my wife or kids there I want them to be able to spit out as much ammo as they can for the purpose of a better chance of hitting the person and so the person doesnt know when the heck they are going to run out of ammo.

It doesn't guarantee the right to bear wood, plastic or metal either, but you would have a hard time bearing arms without them. Same thing with a magazine.
