Woo! Shotshow to announce XDs in 9mm

Springfield Armory unveils their newest model to the single-stack XD-S line of semi-automatic pistols—the XD-S in 9mm. The new 9mm is the same size as the .45 ACP model, but with a smaller gripframe, thicker barrel and shorter magazine. Since the polymer frames are the same size, the XD-S 9mm will fit existing .45 ACP XD-S holsters, sights and other optics.
The XD-S 9mm by Springfield comes with a standard 7-round magazine. Springfield plans to make an extended 9-round magazine for separate purchase. It comes with a red fiber optic front sight and two-dot rear sight.
As with the XD-S .45 ACP, the 9mm’s trigger is smooth and the gun is easy to shoot. It proved to be incredibly reliable throughout Media Day without any malfunctions.
