    Help with gun prices

Had a friend text me wanting to sell me 2 guns and I know nothing about gun values so thought some of you might know what these guns are worth.

First is a Browning B78 in 25-06. Looks brand new and has a Nikon 6x24x50 on it. Comes with a new set of re-loading dies and 4 boxes of ammo. He also has the original box it came in to go with it.

Next one is a Browning Humpback A5 12 gauge Mag that is in excellent condition as well.

Any help would be appreciated, I know nothing about what guns are worth and don't want to pay too much for them.

You guys think I could realistically sell them for that much? The guy needs money and I want to help him out but I don't need any more guns and don't want to pay more than I can sell them for. He also told me on the B78 he has both the round and octagon barrels for it.

On a quick sale I'd offer $800 for the B78 and $400 for the A5. You can get the quoted prices but it may take a year or so. The extra barrel wouldn't be worth anything extra.

Ok that's what I wondered. I don't need them and don't want to have to sit on them for a year to get my money back.

            Thanks for the help

If i had cash i would offer to buy that B-78 today... That is a true work of art and one heck of a shooter. I have a original B-78 in 22-250 and i have always wanted another... I assume a pawn shop would offer you $800 assuming 98% condition/w box... Maybe that will give you a good idea as to what its worth.

A5 is worth $400. Maybe more if it is in 98% condition & depending on wood grain.
