I read on here a while back about the Virginia Non Resident CHL and some class for like $65 and get your chl online. I looked on Virginia's website and it looks like you can get your non resident CHL by using your hunters education card. Has anyone done this and would you think the LEO out there would frown upon this "loophole" or is it legit?

I frown upon it...it does nothing to teach you the LAWS of this state..the laws you must abide by...Please just get a Texas CHl...
And I do believe HB383 will nulify it and make it worthless.. -

"If" you get/have a CHL from any state and go to/live in another state please learn the laws concerning the state you are in. It doesn't matter where your license is from, only that where your at it's legal/reciprocal and you abide by those laws while there.

Don't know about virginia but I know people who got the florida one. I thought about it before I turned 21 but decided to just wait. Texas needs to get on the ball and drop their prices. For a state known for being "pro-gun" we shouldn't be paying 2-4x as much as other states unless the class is REALLY good. JMOComment
