    Help age a gun please.

Alecia's uncle gave me this Sears 3T in 1989. I've been going through the gun cabinet and got to wondering what the age of it is. So far I've found that, if it has a serial number, it is post 1968. Model is 273.2390 and serial number is R148894. It also has an old 4x15 Glenfield scope on it. It's also marked 54-22. Y'all have any ideas?

    Best guess, early 70's.

Think I have it's brother, mag fed simi-auto. My grandfather bought one back in the late 60s-early 70s for some wild house cats living under his house. I inherited it. But it had no magazine. After much research on mags and history, I found that Savage and Lakefield 62, 64, and 954 replacement mags worked in it. They can be bought at local Acadamy.

I think that’s a Winchester made gun. I had the lever action version in the 70s in .22 WRM. They had the same basic look. It was a good gun and got me out of a tight situation once.

Thanks guy's. I was just curious. It looks like it was not shot much. No wear on the stock finish and bluing looks like new. I've never shot it. Maybe one day I'll take it to the range and play with it some.
