Hornady 6.8 120 gr SST

Will this fit into an AR receiver? I've heard some 120s and heavier wouldn't fit into an AR receiver.

Would this be a good all-around bullet for hog & deer?

Fits in my 6.8 SPC's yes. Kills pigs yes. I've not shot deer with it but a rapidly expanding projectile like the SST is great for slower speeds like the 6.8 SPC. Only thing I don't like is how slow it is but this isn't a round where I'm flinging 300+ yards so it makes no difference really.

Yep, that’s what I shoot in my 6.8 SPC. It’s an ARP upper and it really likes it. My grandsons have killed a lot of deer with it and also a bunch of hogs. I’ve probably killed 30 to 40 yotes and cats out to 300 yards.

I’ve shot some factory Hornady in my 6.8 SPC with no issues.

It has done the trick for me on deer and hogs out to 200 yards.

Yep they'll work. That's my favorite hog/deer bullet for the 6.8.
