    Ruger SFAR AR10 Reviews?

Looking for any hands on reviews or experience with the newer Ruger small frame ar10? Never been a huge fan of ar10's due to the size and weight but at 6.8lbs in the 308 or 6.5cm its very appealing. Also somewhat surprised at the $1000 its offered at as well. Looks like it could a great options over the 6.8spc and 6.5Grende if it shoots straight.

I’ve had one for a couple of months. Other than putting on a scope and sighting it in I haven’t shot it. It functioned fine and accuracy was around 1.25 at a hundred yards with the first and only load I tried. The trigger isn’t terrible but mine will get replaced.

Now that is a good review. My friend has one and says about the same thing.

Thanks for the comments. Found a YouTube review by Pew Pew Tactical posted two days ago that covers almost all aspects of the rifle. Based on comments, early production had issues that have been ironed out supposedly but overall positive.

I had a 16" barreled version in 308 that had no issues. Shot right at MOA depending on ammo. Adjustable gas block was a little finicky with my can, but worked. Never had a malfunction. Moved away from 308 so it sold. I wanted one in 6.5 Creedmoor and couldn't find one at the time, so built me a lightweight AR10/AR308 that comes in under 10lbs fully dressed with my can.

I have the 16" 308 and it's been great. Killed 5 out of 5 with it this season - 2 deer and 3 pigs. Mine shoots MOA at 100 yrds with 150 grain Corelokts. I have a VX5HD 3-15 on it sitting in a Larue mount.
