    MP5 clone

I’ve wanted a HK MP5 forever but price point was never in the budget for me. Started looking at some of the companies building clones and came across military arms corp MAC5. Had really good reviews and is a direct match to the HK for accessories. Picked it up today and added the SB tactical brace, holosun red dot. I put 250 rounds through it and it ran like a champ 0 malfunctions. Hopefully pick up a can for it soon.
    it’s a blast to shoot.

Nice. I’ve heard good things about those too. May pick one up before too long. Let us know your thoughts once you get some rounds through it.

how much did it set you back ? i've seen those pop up but was wondering how they would stack up over time, and getting parts .. You may want to go to mp5 forums and get some info on the parts to swap out to run suppressed... i think i read somewhere you have to change some springs or something on the delay blowback to deal with the added back pressure of a can to run reliably and avoid excessive wear and tear..

I'm sure some guys on here will say it's all nonsense and you don't need to do anything.. i'd trust the mp5 forums over them..
I know my SOT has a F/A SD. and his eats parts ... but he shoots it allot.

either way, congrats .. nice piece! i'm jealous ... wanted one since diehard! classic!

I havent seen where they recommend swapping any parts to run suppressed but ill take a look at the MP5 forums. I think they came out at shot 2024 so still fairly new. Most the vids i've found guys prob have less than 1000 rounds so far. Im OTD $973 for the gun and xfer fee and think maybe $275 ish for accessories. I did purchase the YHM R9 for it last night.
I may have to do Christmas cards this year with HO HO HO NOW I HAVE A MACHINE GUN

smoking deal! and on running suppressed , i think it was stiffer springs for the delay blowback mechanism... but it looks like on your model you're good , it's for the shorty

            This is easy: None

On the SP5-K, you'd change the locking piece from the OEM 100* piece to an 80* piece. Why? Because the 80* locking piece will slow down the cycle of the firearm unlocking from battery that is generated by the increased pressures/gasses of the suppressors on the shortened operating system. Especially so on full-auto fire. Without it, the bolt travels rearward with excessive velocity and can damage the receiver. With the longer system of the SP5, this is not necessary. As the (longer) system, as designed, accommodates those increased pressures without issue.

I have the AP5. And my buddy got the MAC5. They both ran suppressed and unsuppressed without issue.
We setup a close quarters combat configuration on a 360 range. Lots of fun had! Chewed through close to a 1k rounds of ammo each.

You may want to look into a FA binary for fun mode.

Ive seen some vids with the binary triggers. I need to look into them. Is there specific one you recommend or is there only 1 options? Seems like a fun way to burn up some ammo!

Franklin Armory is the only one I've used.

not a fan of binaries .. my old boss gave me one, tried it.. gave it back .. and that's when they first came out and were like $500... frt's are much more fun.. if and when they are legal ..

also , it's just a matter of time till someone forgets they have it in binary more, pull the trigger ... then chit their pants when it goes off again and they don't expect it..

Too bad they don’t have a 10mm one.

I love how the delayed rolled block eliminates the need for a adjustable gas block and tuning when running a can.
They should come out with a John Mc Clane edition
Neat pistol, congrats on the purchase.

I’ve been looking at this one for a bit. Where did you pick it up from?
