I have a soft spot for the Manners/ McMillan stocked rifles. I've been running chassis for years now but I still have my first custom build in a McMillan.

What glass are you going to put on it?

I am going to try out one of the Athlon scope out.

I had one scope ordered but here in Bayside we spell out the street name even if it’s a numeral and that screws with UPS at times. After going back and forth with the place I ordered my original scope I got a refund and then purchased a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-14 FFP with 30mm tube. It’s FDE so it may look better but not exactly match than having a black scope.

I have 150 grain SST’s I handloaded a while back, 168 and 175 grain Gold medals.
The reviews show the 168 and 175 SMK’s both shoot decent in this rifle. Obviously I know every rifle had a different barrel and may like different bullets. Hopefully a good starting point when I get everything put together and get out to the range

I’ve yet to shoot any 308 that didn’t shoot FGMM into little bitty groups.

I can’t imagine that Beaut won’t do the same.

Sometimes I hate delivery services.
