    Horizon 25CM

I’ve picked up a couple of Horizons over the past year. A 22CM in the Venatic and a .308 in the Vandal.
I noticed they’ve brought out the 25CM and am kicking around picking one up. Any thoughts on the round, or any direct experience from anyone here?

I love me some 25 caliber stuff. I caved and built a 25cm because it was still a wildcat but from what I read it is SAAMI approved which means Hornady will have some ammo for it in the future.

Mine is a hammer and the wife took her first deer with it last year. So far very happy. Running 135 Bergers at around 2800

Not a Creed, but I built myself a 25 SAW (just slightly faster than a creed) a couple months ago for a NRL Hunter rifle. I’m running 134 ELD-Ms at ~2900 fps. I killed around 15 deer with it helping a buddy cull does a few weeks ago and am very happy with it. Two of those were ~450 yards, one at 510 and one at 560. One of the 450s ran about 30 yards, everything else dropped.

Folks want what they want but man that is really splitting hairs when you compare a .25 CM and a 6.5 CM. Is the difference between them even enough to matter?

No. And probably could do the same with a .300 win mag, 7mm mag, or any of the other cartridges that have been around forever and been tried and true. I always wonder this and have never gotten an answer. If all these new calibers are so great, why doesn't the military adopt them? Why do the snipers still use .308, .300 mag, and .50 BMG? But what do I know and to each his own.

Because it cost money to implement new weapon systems. The 5.56, 7.62, 300win, 300 Norma, 338 Lapua and the 50 are the main rifles used by the military. Some have deployed with the 338 Cheytac as well.
i just compare cartridges like women. No need to explain. That one.
