Stupid question, but wasnt there a smokeless powder muzzleloader made at one time? Wouldnt it be easier to maintain, or is itnot considered a muzzleloader because of the powder?

There was, I think Savage made one, but some states didn’t allow it. There are still custom makers, most of them made on Encore frames, but they are expensive !

Look around on the internet and you’ll see a lot of people have the same problem with PowerBelts.

I upgraded to the Thor bullets and I don’t have that problem anymore…when I shoot a deer with the Thor bullet, it looks like a crime scene there’s so much blood.

the CVA Wolf works well for me but I rarely shoot over 100yds where I hunt in AL. If I had to take regular shots over 150yds, I’d prob get something with a longer barrel to help make those shots easier. If you’re shooting less than 150yds, there’s nothing wrong with the Wolf.
Shot my first deer with the Wolf and PowerBelts--range was about 20 feet and shot him at the base of his ear--dropped him right there as you would expect. Bullet went thru for sure as I saw the dirt kick up at the hit.
