A properly fitted 12 will recoil like that ithica. I have a skb/ithica 600 20ga my wife shot sporting clays with for a minute. She now shoots a 30 inch citori 12 that's been bent, cut and weighted for her.
id look for a 20 before 28 for all the reasons stated and have it properly fit. Also worth noting browning probably has the softest firing pins of any stack barrel out there. They're a snap.to change IF you ever have the need. We ran thru a set in hers when we traveled with our son shooting sporting and trap.
