    Bull barrel and sound suppressor

All, I have an Elysium Arms bull barrel for my Ruger 10/22, still in original package. (EA went out of business during the last ammo shortage in 2020 because they only made 22 barrels for Ruger.)
Is it possible to get it threaded for a suppressor? What are the pros and cons? Does anyone think it's a bad idea?

    yes
    none
    no

Make sure you have a reputable company thread it. Concentricity and crown are very important

Yes very possible to get threaded. A good gunsmith could do it for <$150 i'd bet. Only downside is the minimal cost and maybe the negligible velocity loss. One vote for "great idea". If i remember correctly someone is offering a "Buy One Get One" offer on suppressors. Buy one, get one rimfire can for cost of the stamp only.

I just did the same to a cz457 22LR because CZ doesn't offer anything threaded with the walnut stock.

Love my suppressed .22 and it’s even more fun with subsonic ammo.

          Thanks!
Can anyone recommend someone in the Tyler -Athens -Henderson area?
Or should I make a trip to DFW?

Honestly you could probably get a new threaded barrel cheaper than having that one threaded.

Maybe. But then what do I do with this new barrel??

No problem at all to thread it. Basically zero cons to threading any standard barrel. You’ll have to ship it to us, but we can get you set up. Use code TBH10 for the TBH discount.

I almost started a new thread and thought, I'll continue with this one - any recommendations for a brand/make model suppressor for a 22LR?

I would have them cut it to 16.5" if it were mine.

Thanks for advice. Do you have a suppressor brand you like?

I use a dead air mask on my rimfires up to 22hornet.

Gem-Tech integrally suppressed barrel. Looks like a bull barrel but works awesome! I have 4 suppressors & my son has 6 but the Gem-Tech 10/22 is the one we both grab first

I haven't kept up with the suppressor market & bet there are lots of choices out there today...I have an older TAC 67 & a dead air for my rimfire.
