    Back in Indiana

Brought my .240 and .257 wby mags with me to try and get a couple or few does. I am curious how they will perform with the 80 grain Barnes with my .240 and 100 grain NBT with my .257. Both were loads I loaded.
Going to check Walmart for 6mm, 6.5mm and .257 bullets while I am here.

No help, but good luck! Shoulder shooting them aught to punch through.

Shoulder shooting proves to blow one shoulder completely out. Next time I will aim for the neck!
I shot a small doe yesterday. We had a spike come out and stay for like an hour.

Was able to get two deer. One with .257 wby with 100 grain NBT handload and .240 80 grain ttsx handload.
I had less damage with the 80 grain ttsx. Both dropped at the shot, the larger doe which was with the 80 grain bullet hit the ground and did the worm for about 10 yards.
