Looking to build a bolt 308 since the model I want is not in stock from the manufacturer and need parts from other sources. Anybody know a gunsmith that could help me out in letting me know what I might need and estimated costs?

I'm doing this exact thing now. Bought a Remington Model 700 ADL from Grab-A-Gun. Just got the bolt back from being fluted and adding a knob. I have a Swarovski scope going on it, AA Claro walnut stock from Richards Microfit Stocks in Cali. (They offer the type of stock you're after. I went with a Monte Carlo stock). Timney trigger. Suppressor. I look forward to the finished product.

Arguably will be a better built rifle than the Winchester XPR.

Then a Boyd’s thumb hole stock. I see $300 for a pillar bedded thumb hole varmint stock. Not to shabby for $750ish.
