    Henry 9mm semi auto

Love the new Homesteader rifle and interchangeable mags with SW. Perfect for wife in SHTF scenario to "help" out. Gonna get one for sure !

Needs to be available in 10mm, now that would make a nice gun.

I just viewed it and it does have some versatility where you could use it with different side arms for sure while using the same magazines. Of course it does come with the limitations of the 9mm cartridge.

I don't have a 10mm. Keeping everything to just a few calibers in house, 9mm 45 5.56 7.62 (308) 22lr and mag and 12 gauge. Wouldn't be surprised if they come out with a 40 in it since more popular than 10mm but I only think they had better PR campaign when they came out together. I believe same happened with 6mm and .243. I like the different magazines you can use in this rifle, wife, son and I all have SW 9mm's for carry so lot's of magazines available. I personally have no use for this rifle but it's perfect for the wife just not sure I want to drop $700 on it plus a red dot.

I’m a 10mm fan, I have three pistols and one carbine in 10mm. There is so much difference in the 10 and the 9 that one mm of diameter doesn’t explain. I agree that the 9mm carbine would make a good house gun. I only have two Henry’s, both lever guns, one in .45 Colt, and the other a .22 WMR. I like both of them. A trim, short, not real heavy 10mm carbine would make a great “riding around” gun IMO. My carbine in 10mm is heavy and not really a fast gun to get out of a gun rack in a hurry. It has been great on the few hogs that have hung around long enough for me to get the dot on them though.

I should add that my daily carry is an S&W Shield Plus with a CT reflex sight on it. The 10s are reserved for field carry.

I've been looking more and there are a few carbines that use different magazines. Our carries are SW Equalizer mine has holosun green dot, son wants one now. My home pistol is Springfield XDM 45, it would pull my pants off if IWC.....we only have one Henry it's wifes 22lr lever and I love it, very accurate with Leupold 2-7. Kel Tec sub 2000 uses our mags, available in 9mm and 40.

I'm wrong, kel tec 2000 uses glock magazines. Article was confusing have to go back and see which uses SW mags.

Ruger has the LC Carbine in 10mm and is supposed to do a 9mm next

Henry make a quality product. I have the Ruger 9mm takedown and it is a hoot to shoot. It digests any rounds you put through it and you also gain some decent FPS with the 9mm being shot in a longer bbl. I think the Henry is a nicer looking carbine.

I suspect if anything in a larger caliber comes out it would be .45 ACP.

I have Hi Point 45 and it's a blast to shoot, factory sights were horrible but red dot and it's a shooter and has fed everything even lead rounds I got from somebody and I bet those would have been like Civil War rounds and flattened out and take a leg off.....
