    21 Sharp Winchester

    Interesting..

I have never been a fan of the 17hmr. And just shot 22 or 22mag. This could be something new to look at

I saw that the other day. I don't see any advantage of it over a .22lr other than maybe more accuracy. I could be wrong but I don't see it taking off very well. Everyone and their dog already has a .22lr and they're plenty accurate as it is.

I don’t see any use for it that isn’t covered by a 22 or 17hmr, at least for me.

It will probably be like the 17mach2 we won’t know how good it was until it is nearly gone

I'd be a lot more pleased if they'd just concentrate on producing the guns/ammo that have already been around and proven to be favorites so that a man can just go to the store and find it on the shelf rather than coming up with this new novelty stuff that attempts to solve a problem that does not exist all the while diluting precious resources for calibers that are already in high demand!

come on now. what is the fun in that. They can not make new guns without new ammo.

I do see the benefit of taking a modern approach to the old calibers. They were built with a purpose in mind.

As a side note I have dusted off all my old reloading stuff and will start reloading once again just because of the lack of stuff off the shelf. There was a time when reloading was the only way
to get the top performance out of a gun/caliber. Then they caught up and now you just can not find what you need when you need it. Time for the old green ammo boxes to make back in the bag

I may end up trying a barrel if it’s not too expensive and ammo becomes/stays available.

              probably won’t, but maybe.

wssm that was a good idea. Short action big caliber fast bullets but again wrong time wrong application
Kinda like the 6.5creed. That is a great cartridge and a killing machine if you shoot the right bullet in in

Couldn't agree more!! 17M2 17WSSM 17 hornet 22 hornet just to name a few that are great rounds but impossible to find gun or ammo combination at any given time.

Powder burner, I'm with you on th 6.5 Creedmoor. It's kinda ho-hum with anything under 140 gr. bullets, but set a Hornady 160 gr. roundnose on top of an appropriate amount of powder and it's a completely different critters. It will shoot through a good sized pig end to end. It gets back to the claims of the 6.5x55 working for anything from mouse to moose.

They should bring back the 5mm Remington.
