Buying out-of-state Rifle

I’m thinking about buying an out-of-state Rifle from an individual having it shipped from FFL to FFL my question is it if you use Venmo does it have a money security? Or fraudulent similar to PayPal I believe PayPal you cannot buy weapons, but they do have a business Purchase. I believe money fraudulent.

I don’t know of any money sending service that will help if you get screwed on a gun purchase. My advice would be, actually call the potential seller, have a conversation with them, and see how you feel. I’ve done several out of state purchases and haven’t been screwed yet.

Yeah, we’ve been going back-and-forth. He wants to send it through a FFL to my FFL and I wanted to send someone up close to his state and pay cash, and just buy it from him. He does not want to do that. I understand his side also He’s wanting to transfer it out of his name I’m sure. I like paying cash for things to keep everybody out of the loop lol.

I wouldn't use any electronic payment service for a gun purchase. Will he take postal service money orders? FWIW, an out-of-state sale must go FFL to FFL unless you're buying from the FFL's premises and the FFL complies with all your home state's regulations.
