budget trigger upgrade for AR15 platform

You can get JP Enterprises reduced power trigger springs for ~$10 which will drop your trigger weight to about 4lbs if you don't want to pay for a drop in trigger.

I saw this and decided to give it a try. I couldn't find the springs on JP Enterprises site, but Midway USA carries them.

Big fan of the cmc flat or the timney triggers for the money they are hard to beat. I guess i just havent had the right larue yet as i have not been a fan and got rid of them.

IMO why would you skimp on this a good trigger can be had for $150ish and its probably the single best accessory you can upgrade on most rifles that will do the most for making it a gun you can shoot better.
