Huskemaw scopes are another good one to look at, their scopes have turrets for different elevation and wind. The tv show/gun builder Best of the West uses Huskemaw.

If you go with Leupold be sure to send in for your custom dial turrets after you get sighted in and know exactly which ammo you will be using. First set of turrets are free

Skip any custom cut turrets like M16 said. If anything changes in your setup or if your hunting environmental conditions change drastically like hunting at elevation or even big temperature swings, they will become irrelevant. MIL or MOA (yuck) turrets are constant.

Dang it M16, thanks for throwing a wrench in my thoughts on this! You have me looking hard at that NF NX8 now.
I own a NX8 in 4-32x50 MOAR F1. And if it weren't for the lighted reticle, with 5 minutes of legal shooting time left, I probably wouldn't have put my last buck on the ground. The lighted reticle is also brightness adjustable. I generally run without it, until daylight starts to fade. Or run it first thing in the morning. I've got zero complaints about the scope.

This. Too much noise, gimme the firedot and dial.

            Firedot doesn’t have wind holds.

I mean good old fashioned wind holds, I don't like the noise if the scope has a dial for elevation.

So, in other words . . . . . dial for elevation and SWAG for wind? I like a little more precision myself.

I refuse to buy any optics (besides red dots) without a useable reticle. $200 is a small price to pay for that IMO.

SFP aren’t an issue with holds at lower magnification as long as you can math. It’s pretty easy to figure a 12x SFP scope subtensions value’s double at 6X or quadruple at 3X.

You could say that, or you could say I have good shooting skills and don't need to carry a calculator and weather station into the backcountry with me. Never had a problem with antelope in the Wyoming winds and that's about the only place I stretch it out to any appreciable distances.

Can't vouch for the VX6 but the MOA is a great option to have. IF you practice and know the yardage(meters) for your gun per MOA line.

If you don't have one get a ballistics app like Strelok

I've seen firsthand, sometimes you don't have time to dial.
B&C reticle works fine for windage on my Leupold scope.
