    243 Winchester for Rams

Got a November Ram Hunt scheduled for my Son at Thompson Temple's place. I got my 243 Winchester I inherited after my Dad passed away and installed my Son's favorite type of scope.
He'll be using Sierra 100 Grain SP Spitzer BT. He's a pretty good shot ..
Do you think this should be good for the average Ram Hunt ?
I only had 1 disappointing experience and I must say it was my fault ...

As long as he has good shot placement there should be no issue. I have been there several times in the past with a bow and rifle and had no issues taking something home, especially in the trophy pasture.

Good to go! I took many deer with a .243 in my youth, should have kept that rifle. Rams aren't any tougher than whitetail.

No problem at all with that set up!

I've killed a lot of stuff with .243. Big hogs, 200lb+ whitetails, etc. Stinky ram would be no match. Good luck and enjoy!
