I have an old Axis savage 243 compact pre-accrutrigger that my kids used for hunting. I have replace the trigger and scope.
The rifle is a tack driver and I think it was time to get an adult stock. I'm thinking on using it for predators in the off season while waiting for the grand kids to be ready for hunting!.
Anyway, I was checking the usual suspects boyds and oryx. But found a new hunter light magpul and decided to go for it.
Cost was $219.95. Comes with adjustable stock inserts, cheek riser and pillars for both screws. In addition it has aluminum bedding.
It uses AICS magazines. I will take it to the range Saturday to see how it shoots.
But the feeling is much better.
