    New Rifle Range DFW

I wanted to announce that we are underway with a nice range about 30 minutes west of Fort Worth. Please like and follow us at Gravestone Precision Shooting on FB for updates.
At Gravestone, our primary focus is long range rifle with static 1000 yard range under covered pavilion, 1200 yard PRS range as well as a separate 1400 yard range. We will also offer tactical bays for pistol and carbine work.

We will have an initiation fee to access the range, issue access card, and go over proficiency and range rules. Once this is completed members may choose daily rate, monthly, or annual commitment with lower monthly auto draft. Pricing will be in line with what Cresson was.

Nice! When is expected open date? Sounds like it's being built currently? No FB for me.

That’s awesome news, Jake! It’ll be nice to have an option on that side of town again. Looking forward to hearing when it opens.

Yes, separate 100 yd zero range that will have paper targets and will go cold when shooters wish to change out. This range will shoot in the east direction. FMJ allowed, however we will not allow tracers, incendiary, or steel core projectiles on steel targets.

I will have a zero board set up on the 1000 range but shooters are not allowed to go down range on this firing line. I will replace the target boards as they become shot up before range goes hot.

                      You have my attention…..

Sure beats driving 8-9 hours to go to NRA Whittington.

Will there be any cartridge size restrictions?

What do you wish to shoot? I’ll run it in a calculator and see what minimum distance needs to be. 338’s are 500 and out. .50’s need another lane with 3/4” steel that I don’t currently have planned but could change with enough interest.

I know the OTMs are good 500 and out. I’ll need to look into the monolithic bullets. We can also do a scientific shoot and see experiment, lol.
Edited to add; 275 CEs should be good 500+ as well. I would like to go down range and check out an impact if we can schedule you to come out prior to opening.
