    Ruger No.1 pictures

Someone had asked me if my Ruger that I was lucky enough to get from a member a while back was as good looking as the original pics that were given when it was listed.
I do believe she is. I still do not have any scope on the rifle. I did buy a sling.

Those rifles are some of the nicest looking in my opinion, and that is one of the nicest I've seen of them. Beautiful!

That is a pretty piece of wood!!! I've got a couple that have good marbling but nothing like that.

I think I got really lucky.
I know that there was at least one member that has one as well and he reloaded for his. I don’t know if anyone else has one and what fired best in theirs.

Does the fore end wood match the rest of it ? If so, **** that’s nice. (Edit My bad, I didn’t notice first pic)

It’s nice but no it doesn’t appear to be as pretty as the butt end, She has a good looking caboose lol.

I was going to buy a new scope but I really wanted to use a 3-9. After buying a Leupold 4-12x40 for my .240 wby, I don’t know what real deal accuracy I will get from my No.1 and like I said I really like my Leupold 3-9x40. It’s been on several different rifles. I like the older models compared to the new Freedom line they currently have. This would be their lower priced scopes not the higher end ones.

Shot some habdloads today. This is not just a pretty rifle. My 100 grain NBT’s with 71 grains of RL22 I made up for my Vanguard is definitely the ticket.
my 100 grain Spitzers shot about 1 1/2” group. This load had them touching.

Can’t argue with those results. A beautiful rifle that’s shoots beautifully too. Win win.

I had one in .300 Win Mag that was a tack driver with Hornady Heavy Magnums, but I sold it. One in .280 Rem that was decent with Hornady Light Magnums, and I sold it. Currently have one in 25-06 that I had to load for. A maximum load of 4831 under a 120 grain Sierra bullet will shoot around 1” for me. Great guns and yours is a beauty to boot !
