Son needs a scope for his 308, shots not expected to exceed 300 yards. Accupoint has no batteries and is only 13 oz, Credo is 4 oz heavier but likely built a little tougher but requires batteries and has a better reticle IMO.

I just bought a Sig Tango MSR for my AR10 1-8x24 but just got an email that they came out with a new 2-12x40 but very happy with mine, it's incredibly clear and I got mine from local gun dealer cheaper than online. I decided not to go tritium. Leupold also has one that has an auto on and off with movement. All are able to work as illuminated or as a "regular" scope.

This is a field evaluation of the Trijicon 3-9x40mm Credo SFP, duplex reticle scope. This scope was sent to Ryan Avery for an evaluation. It was personally purchased. The ammunition used was Hornady Black 168gr AMAX personably purchased by Ryan. The baseline 30 round group with this ammunition...
